Actually this is a test to see how many people are bored enough to post

J/K-I found that Frog is claiming Norwegian lineage,I thought as a tribute to
his eminence we should have something norwegian-and yes,goatherds were the weirdest thing I could think of.

It is concluded that reproductive failure in many flocks probably is associated with non-infectious causes such as nutritional and environmental factors.

In conclusion, it seems that the widespread distribution of staphylococci carrying QAC resistance genes in Norwegian dairy cattle and goat herds is the result of both the intra- and interspecies spread of QAC resistance plasmids and the clonal spread of QAC-resistant strains.

6 diagnosed cases from 4 farms were detected in a survey of all farms with imported cattle in the period 1991-1995. The Norwegian cattle population is now being controlled for the disease. Only one single case is confirmed from a Norwegian cattle herd which earlier also had goats with Johne’s disease. The control is now more focused at mixed cattle/goat herds.
