Army truck bombed, officer, teacher killed in southern Thailand

Violence continued in the deep South on Thursday night and yesterday. A policeman was shot dead, a military truck was bombed, and a defence volunteer's house was attacked in Yala province, while a teacher was shot dead in Narathiwat.

Pol Snr Sgt-Maj Hem Jeh-alee, 47, was gunned down by a motorcycle pillion rider while walking in front of his house in tambon Tha Thong, Yala's Raman district, around 6.40pm yesterday.

The officer, who sustained six gunshot wounds in the head and torso, died on the way to the district hospital.

Earlier on Thursday night, a pick-up truck carrying a group of government troops from neighbouring Narathiwat province was slightly damaged in a bomb explosion, which also wounded two troopers identified as Prajob Suthimas and Klerm Phetphan.

The bomb exploded when the truck arrived in tambon Noen Ngam, also in Raman. Checks showed the bomb, wired to a battery, was planted about 25m deep inside a roadside rubber plantation.

Early yesterday morning, a food vendor saw two teenagers climb over the fence of Manasuksa School in Yala's Muang district, and informed local police.

Police searching the school's compund found a plastic box containing ammonium nitrate fertiliser, a mobile phone, a home-made detonation cap and nails. They also found a bag which contained another plastic box stuffed with similar items. The bombs were defused.

In Krong Pinang district, three armed men raided the house of defence volunteer Salae Majeh, 44, on Thursday night.

Mr Salae escaped by jumping out of a window. The raiders took his shotgun and left without hurting his wife and child.

In Narathiwat, Cherdchai Khakaeo, a 50-year-old teacher of Ban Tor Lang School in Tak Bai district, was found dead with multiple bullet wounds on a road in Muang district around 5.15pm yesterday.

I should have known it was the ' peaceful religian ' folks involved . So thats why there were so many Bin Laden T-shirts on some of the sunomi dead and survivors . I heard some of them were wearing T-shirts with his murderous mug on them .

They are everywhere ' again ' , just like last time they tried to conquor world for islam . Yet all we hear is to get out of middle-east ! . While they invade and kill in every nation they infiltrate . Philipines, Spain,France,Netherlands,Africa, Italy, Thialand, India, Canada and America , just to name a few .
