What can Bush do to keep the Republicans in power?
Lets assume we all are George Bush. Now turn off the TV and listen friends....
You know your party is about to be voted out and you may be facing impeachment. Your lovely White House will be taken from you and you won't be hearing Hail To the Chief everytime you enter a room. And whats worse, you won't be invited to those great dinners with those rich desserts. What can you do? Sure you can rig the ballot boxes and keep those likely to vote Democrat from going to the polls like you did in 2004... but that can only work so long. The public is getting wise to those tricks. We don't know if it will work this time. Well here are some suggestions.... 1 Invade Iran, whats better to boost the popularity of your party than a war? 2 Invade Korea? No George, that would be North Korea and not the south. Remember George, South good, north bad... right? 3 Declair martial law and suspend the November Elections... Hey being president is easy isn't it? ![]()

They've lowered gas prices as a prelude for November, but we all know they'll go back up after the elections.
I'm pretty certain they're not sweating it all that much, with those nifty new voting machines that leave no paper trail for those inconvenient recounts the 'system' finds so annoying now off the table. It's largely just a media circus, with both parties actually representing less than 10% of 'citizens', 15% max, so there is really no reason to pay attention to any of the crap surrounding The Big Show; ever since the Soviet Union collapsed the propoganda value of having a large middle class is minimal at best, and in fact is increasingly detrimental to the 'government's' efforts at building slave colonies for it's managerial class overseas these days. Only about 8,500 or so people matter here in the U.S. as far as decisions are made, and very few of them are elected. Last edited by Farnsworth,Luther P.; 10-20-2006 at 10:53 PM. |

The USS Eisenhower strike group arrives today (10/21) in the Straits of Hormuz, just off the coast of Iran.

Announce a major policy change int he way the war in Iraq is being fought. I believe he could shore up conservative support by significantly increasing troop levels in Iraq. And I mean significantly. If we have 140k there 140 K getting ready to go and 140 K just back I would announce that all 420 k will be staying in Iraq until security is established. Only other change possible would be to announce a pull out and that wouldnt help GOP election chances just give the Dems more ammunition.
