My pseduo-mini vacation
So, with my new job I don't get any vacation time. And after 10 years in Corporate America, I am quite used to having my time off. I haven't taken a vacation since right before I lost my job a year ago, and it's been wearing on me. So, I decided that vacation is just a state of mind, and I was going to make the best of a few days here and there. Here's how it went
 Tues 9-19. Woke up at 3pm, showered, drove to Vermont. Saw Widespread Panic on the 3rd night of their new tour with Jimmy Herring as lead guitarist. The venue was tiny and only a quarter full!! It was so initimate and I highly doubt will be replicated, as they ripped it up so badly they are already being compard to the Dead at their prime  I also ran into tour friends, which is always fun.  Weds 9-20. Woke up at 4pm. Left for the Verizon center in Manchester, NH to see show #2 for us. They totally shredded. Thurs 9-21. Had to work. Pretended like this little deviation didn't happen  Fri. 9-22. Got up at around 3pm. Packed up to go to the Boston show, then onto the Cape afterwards. We got a call right before we left from Jimmy's wife telling us we got backstage passes Now, I am used to going backstage for Live, but Panic is near IMPOSSIBLE! I was freaking out - I didn't get to meet them all but did get to meet Domingo the percussionist, who happened to be my favorite  After another kick ass show and hanging with Jimmy for a bit, I drove us down to the Cape and we stayed at my husband's family's house. Sat. 9-23 Got up after only 3.5 hrs. sleep to go to one of my oldest and dearest friend's wedding. Got to see lots of old friends and ate equisite food. We left the wedding right after the meal and drove all the way to Wallingford, CT to see our last show of this tour. It was HOT! Such a great venue, and all in all an incredible show. We had spent all of our money, so we had to drive all the way back to NH ( well, I did anyway) and I was SO beat. it was worth it though. Sun 9-24. Slept for 15 hours cause I haven't rocked out on a tour so hard in a long time. I actually feel like I had a real vacation, specially cause I wrote it all down.

Excellent - glad to hear you had such a great time!
 You know, I sure could use one of those "vacation" things, as you call them!

heck kymra ya should have just kept driving from CT to PA to see Dawn and Eric get married today.
