Lieberman leading Lamont by 12 percent

Quote:
BOSTON (Reuters) - U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman (news, bio, voting record), a three-term Democrat now running as an independent candidate, leads the man who beat him in last week's primary vote by 12 points in a three-way race, a poll released on Thursday shows.

I'm tempted to remark on Democrats snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

If Lieberman is the flaming liberal you folks claim he is, and if he's really out of the DNC because he's "principled", as you say he is, then they haven't lost anything, even if he wins, because he's already a highly principled flaming liberal, so he's going to vote for the liberal leftist extremists, anyway.

Plus, he's the only Senator I know of who's made out with George Bush. That enough is reason to impeach him. (It was for Clinton, at least.)

Then why did all the rightwinger dittoheads race out to the polls to vote for him? Is it because they gullible and easily misled?

I like him because he's a centrist-had to laugh at "made out with Bush" was that intentional or not?

No, it was because they were'nt on the mailing list for the email that told all the gullible, and easily misled 'crats that the first Tuesday in November had been moved to Wednesday.

Yeah. I thought it was hilarous that Dubya kissed him, though. Of all the odd things that I didn't expect to see.

Holding hands with Saudi's. Fondeling Germans. Kissin' Democrats. WHEN WILL THE MADNESS END???!!?!

Both sides of the aisle (and even the far sides) are making, way, way, way to big a deal out of the Lieberman race.

Is there an actual group of voters that LIKES Lieberman?

And is he leading the Rep. candidate? Or is he just going to Ross-Perot the Democratic candidate?

Since that's all it takes for a campaign to repeatedly show that picture of Bush kissing Lieberman on the cheek and symbolize them in the same camp...

Then I suggest Bush walk around and smooch Biden, Kerry, Kennedy, Pelosi, Reid, and Feingold...

And then get his shots...

I don't see what that matters...

From what I can tell of the last Presidency, "in the mood" doesn't matter when it's being forced on you...

It isn't surprising at all. Even considering the fact that all the polls showed that Lieberman would win as an independent, he still has more experience than the City Councilman. He also has tenure and can therefore bring the pork home.

Lamont would not only be the junior Senator from one state. He would be an inexperienced one-trick-pony.

The Republicans are supporting Lieberman because he's a bigger fascist than most Republicans.

Actually, it's for two reasons...

1) He's closer to reality than Fred Sanford's son Lamont (rimshot!)...

2) It's Connecticut, where 99% of the time Republicans don't stand a chance...so a choice has to be made from the narrowed down list of two...
