Olmert orders expansion of ground offensive

After Israel's security cabinet approved an expansion of the ground offensive in Lebanon, they seemingly retreated from that position....where things have remained for the last few days.

That's changed, and Israel is kicking it up a notch. Perhaps Nasrallah's claims of victory are a little premature.

This was in the cards from the beginning. This invasion is following the 1982 one to a tee. So far Syria has stayed out, because they'd like to keep their Air Force, and if they're smart they'll hide them! This is playing into Nasrallah's hands as it will be guerrilla warfare. Israel won't win and Hezbollah won't lose. In Arabic speak that's a victory!
