Burger King and Stupid Toys....

Once a month I take both kids out to lunch. Usually we go to pizza hut or some place like that but I wasn't feeling good and burger king was close by. I got the kids their version of a happy meal which has the little toy inside along with the meal. Normally I hate that...I tend to believe the food should be the treat, not a toy so hence the reason they rarely get to go there or anywhere they package toys along with the food. Well my sons toy turned out to be this grey plastic thing that looked like a robot. After inspecting it, I realised it had a little well for water and the button on it's back was the trigger to shoot a stream of water..What f*cking idiot came up with the idea of a toy that squirts to give to kids at a restaurant? My son didn't have it a minute before he was spitting milk into it and squirting it across the table.. I want to know who in their right mind would think a parent wants a toy like that for their kid when they take them out to eat. I can't imagine what possesses Burger King to hand out toys like that..I hope a whole mess of little kids get together and squirt every employee there until they quit handing out stuff like that.

Once in a whle I don't mind it but usually its not burger joints. I like salad bars so I find places that have those as well as something decent for the kids. I just can't imagine the brain-trust that decided giving kids little squirt toys to play with in restaurants was a good thing.

I don't think food should a treat for kids... that kind of sets kids up for eating to comfort themselves. But I agree I hate those little toys they give out, especially the ones that shoot or make noises. You know they just give out those things so the kids will pester the parents to go to that restaurant to get the toys. (I am guilty of getting those little toys sometimes too though but only on rare occasions, most of the time those toys are just ulgy crap that are supposed to "do" something)
