Question Is speaking spanish a sin?

Is the first amendment of the constitution language specific?

No, but pathetic attempts at intellectualism certainly should be. You seem to think these inane posts of yours are profound. That you appear open minded and intuitive, when in reality you come accross much the same way a small child does.

"But why"? Jo-jo. lol.

I keep meaning to learn Spanish. It's just hard to care enough to make the effort. I found a conversational spanish group in my city that meets once a week to chat en espanol, though, and I have a lot of DVDs with a spanish audio and subtitle track I can watch for practice. I just have to get off my duff and register for a class.

It's a dialect of Spanish. They may even be closer to the same language than Broxese and NewOrleansish are.

Somewhat. My Brazilian wife can understand spanish pretty well, but she can't speak the language. Oddly, she says that most spanish people don't understand portuguese, which creates an weird asymmetry.

In my opinion, portuguese is a much more beautiful sounding language than spanish (nothing against hispanics!), which is one reason why Brazilian music is so great.

I read somewhere that spanish is the 3rd most used language in the world.

I wonder if that includes the different dialects.

What a ****ing jack ass post. I often find Jo-jo's innocent approach to most questions the most sincere and, perhaps, reasonable of all the partisan, overly analytical shit-idealogy stuffed responses most people come up with. Mine included.

There is no need for such a rude, mean spirited post. Sorry if your having a bad day, but dont take it out on a nice guy like Jojo.

that's probably because hispanics think everyone needs to cater to them and speak spanish.

It's because Spanish involves less sound changes-eg the d in portuguese followed by an i changes it to a j sound; it's full of stuff like that-odd stuff, hard to predict.Spanish is just simpler...

The Constitution is not religious dogma.

Just sayin'.
