Here are some of one of my older brother's vintage ticket stubs of concerts he attended.
![]() Van Halen was opening act to Black Sabbath. Price for the show $7.50!!! ![]() The Who with drummmer Kenny Jones, Keith Moon's replacement after his death. ![]() I tagged along on this one. Led Zeppelin was the second concert I experienced. It was one of the last ones before drummer John Bonham's death in 1980. It was a let down after a while because the instrumental solos ran about a half hour each and it got a little boring. This was a time in which concert goers were bring firecrackers to the concerts and it would upset the bands. I remember a Ted Nugent show in which a firecracker ended up on stage and he told his band mates to stop playing while he delivered a convincing tirade for people to stop tossing firecrackers. He indicated he would injure people in response to the next one. ![]() Last edited by Snouter; 05-31-2002 at 02:01 PM. |

I love the Sabbath/VH one.
I've only kept one ticket stub; Def Leppard, with Tesla opening, Hysteria tour. Not for the bands as much as it's the first concert my wife (who was my GF at the time) & I went to. |

Snouter:
You've reminded me that I have quite a few ticket stubs that I need to digitize. Thanks... Cool stubs, by the way. Those are classics...

Thanks e.
I took pics of them with the camera but should have used the scanner. Curt, I had had you in mind when I posted the Van Halen one. ![]() Old time rock n' roll baby. I need to see a live band soon and may head to Long Island tonight like I did a few weeks ago. |

There seems to be a small market for them. I see if my brother wants to post them on ebay and see what happens. He has a bunch on concert T-Shirts also. |

I don't think I have any of my old/cool ones any more. It's kind of a shame. Of course, they're not as cool as the ones above.
The only relatively cool one I have, I found. I'd bought an old Replacements tape at a flea market thing. Opened it up, and inside it was a ticket from the very last Replacements tour. I keep it nice and protected now. I thought it was terribly cool. There's my pointless contribution for this thread. |

I've kept just about all of mine. I have about 30 or 40 dated all the way back to Iron Maiden-Frehely's Comet back in '87. Robert Plant, Rush, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, AC/DC, Judas Priest, etc etc etc. Not quite vintage, not yet, but getting there.
