Resident Evil: Extinction/Afterlife (2007)

*Also Known As:
Resident Evil: Afterlife (USA)*

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0432021/

Ive also seen *rumors* that supposedly it's going to have cameos by Wesker, Chris and maybe Barry and Brad.

MTV.com article with Milla Jovovich on RE: Afterlife:

Quote:
"As I said earlier, I wasn't really sure at the time what I could and couldn't say about the movie" Milla reiterates, "but after talking with Paul, he's convinced that he's left enough twists and turns in the script to keep you guys guessing no matter what I tell you, I guess."

"Since our pictures are all over the news, (Alice, Jill, Carlos, L.J. and Angie), the group keeps moving from place to place, for shelter, and along the way we've gathered up a small resistance force who have all had their own experiences with the corporation. We end up in the southwest, where we've come to a group decision to hit one of Umbrella's largest production plants, someplace hidden in the outskirts of the Alaskan wilderness. As we start this trip, [with] this rag-tag caravan of freaks," Milla enthusiastically raises her hand at this point, "soldiers and civilians, Umbrella decides its time to put their new super-soldier to the test, to wipe out this little disturbance we're causing. They radio to Alice, in my head I guess, to guide the rest of the group off course, and we end up stumbling upon this 'abandoned' military complex in the Nevada desert. Unfortunately for everyone else, its not abandoned in the least. It's a type of training ground Umbrella devised specifically for testing their new bioweapons, namely me."

So, does this mean the Lickers will be making a third appearance?

"No, those things were too easy. I mean come on, Alice handled them within under a minute in Apocalypse, so we've got to kick it up a notch for the sequel, right?" She laughs. "No...Paul has something else planned this time around, another nod to the games, and in my opinion it's one of the better ones. It's..." Milla pauses for a moment and rubs her chin thoughtfully. "Well, without giving too much away, its worse then the Nemesis. I mean, in Apocalypse, Nemesis was threatening, but not necessarily scary. This new thing is horrifying just to look at, like something out of someone's nightmare, and it stalks the group throughout the facility."

"I guess if anything decisive is said about Afterlife, its definetly going to be scarier then the first two" Milla assures us. "We still manage to throw in a lot of action and some cool new special effects, and a lot more gore and blood, but a lot of the fear comes from we're trapped in this building with this gross, ugly thing trying to kill us, and at times we can hear it walking around, maybe in the hallway just adjacent to us, maybe shuffing across the floor just above our heads, groaning and growling, maybe ripping into one of our friends. Do we shut up and just keep going, try to keep ourselves alive, or do we risk everything that moment to try and rescue our commrade, who might or might not already be dead, from this thing we know we can't kill? Not to mention that Alice is going crazy in either situation, with Umbrella trying to get her to betray her team, and her trying to keep her sanity and trying to get everyone out safely."

It all seems like quite a lot to look forward to...but could there still be more? "And apparently, the big kicker that I think is just going to leave people plastered to their seats is he's bringing back someone from the first movie. We're still unsure just yet if Paul can work [them] into this script, or if he'll just hold off for the fourth installment, but its definetly going to happen."

Resident Evil: Afterlife is set to begin shooting in May and may hit theaters as early as late 2006 or early 2007.
