Fishy fishy fishy!
I just got a betta fish!
 He's SO pretty. His tail and fins were all poofed out (that's what caught my mom and I's attention), and at first we were all "Oh, how pretty!". But then we realized it was because his little bowl was up against another betta's little bowl, and he was bein' all, "HEY! Whatchoo lookin' at?" All the other ones were more mellow, but I decided to get him; I was drawn to him (and I was kind of worried he was going to start bashing his head into the side of his house). I'll post pics in a little bit, after we get him all set up.

Cool... What kind of fish? My sister and her husband have an aquarium, and the fishies are so pretty!
 They have colorful exotic fish... like bright yellow ones and clown fish.

Cindy, betta fish are those colorful fish that have to be in a bowl by themselves or they'll kill each other. At least the males anyway.

yay! that's awesome!!! Betas are great fish. My babe Garnet gets all excited when I go up to the bowl and call him pretty boy.
And he flares at his treats when he sees them.

Those fish are preatty cool. Just dont let him in any other tanks that have other fish.

without a filter 3 times a week, with one I'd change it once a week. Maybe every 10 days, but that's sorta pushing it. It also depends if you have a frog in there with him. They make the water really dirty, so if you get one it has to be at least once a week.
How big is the bowl?
