driving
I haven't bitched in a while, so here goes...
I hate driving now. I used to love driving long distances when I was younger. Shoot, I drove to freaking Kansas before and almost enjoyed it. Seeing sights, the views, driving through interesting places that I'll never see again, crossing state borders. Now, I've just been in Southern California too long. Its like, traffic jam here, accident there, gridlock everywhere. I hate driving. I wish I could have a chauffer just drive me around so I could play with myself in the backseat or take a nap or make obscene gestures to the other motorists instead of driving. God, its going to be even worse now that I'm going to have a stick-shift again. No more driving to Commerce during traffic time, I can't stand driving the 101/5 during the middle of the day, much less so with a manual. Why couldn't the damned traffic engineers have created 12-lane freeways?? With maybe 3 or 4 lanes solely dedicated to travellers driving freeway to freeway? It makes such stinking sense I can't believe that these damned morons who made the freeway system didn't think of it. ARGH.

^Like hell it is. Just today I was behind this douche guy going like 8 miles an hour for miles and miles across town, and he was spazzing out lookin' at me in his rearview mirror because he just couldn't handle our American streets. And of course he was Asian.*

Backwaters....
The freeways here are all at least 4 lanes, except for a few exceptions, like the 5, which always gets massively bottle-necked when its a 2/2 down in Buena Park. Think the most I've seen is 7 going each way down in Irvine area, including the 2 lanes set aside for carpool.

Good god your roads are unnecessarily large! Here we have 3 lanes each side for motorways and 2 or 1 for everything else. (the only exception I know being the M25).
What in the hell do you need 7 lanes for?!!  Mark
