Who will be President on January 21, 2009?

Not who you want, but who will win--your earliest, most wildly speculatory best guess.

Is John Kerry really running again, or did you just put him there yourself? Is it known who will be running for pres. already?

Of that group, I would guess Rudolph Giuliani if he agreed to run.

Those are all just speculation. Only kooks have announced at this early stage.

if only Al Gore could be president... i feel so bad for him... but as long as a democrat wins the presidency i'm happy

As for Ralph Nader, the day he wins is the day the world ends

Giuliani won't win. Limited appeal outside NYC. Hillary might actually get the nomination, which would be really frickin' depressing in a democracy where there aren't supposed to be family dynasties. George Allen and Mark Warner are ideas. They're boring enough to have broad appeal. McCain's pissed off too many Republicans.

With the exception of McCain, I'd eliminate all Senators. Americans prefer executives (ie, Governors) who have had to make and implement real decisions as President.

Evan Bayh used to be Indiana's governor.

I hope he's the democratic candidate come election time. He'd win. He's a really good middle ground, I know a lot of republicans would vote for him.

Guiliani isn't known for anything besides handling Sep. 11 attacks pretty fairly so he's out. Nobody outside NY knows what he's about. Here's something that might have a chance: Hilary Clinton as VP candidate and a really conservative Democrat, moderate to balance her out and not scare people too much.

It would have to be someone that represents middle of the road to conservative values. If she's running and doesn't run with a conservative then forget about her. The perception of H Clinton is that she's practically a socialist. The Republicans can very easily kill her image with that socialist big health care plan she directed when Bill was president. That was a gigantic disaster and lo and behold the European socialized medicine programs she used as the model are all failing due to the aging population and not enough taxes coming in. They'll kill her candidacy easily by bringing that up over and over and over --- unless she publically, meaning out loud, says she's not pursuing any socialized medical plan.

Back when Hilary Clinton was put in charge of radically changing the American health care system she put this group of liberal, and I mean LIBERAL, friends on her task force. They would not talk to the media and all their documents were numbered so no one knew what they were up to. It was just a disaster. Rush Limbaugh just went on and on and on about it and they can bring that up again. Americans were polled and hated her plan and it died. She was never very powerful after that because she flopped right out of the starting gate.

Another huge strike against Hilary Clinton is the fact the entire universe knew her husband was getting oral sex with some clerk in the oval office of the White House and the only reason H Clinton didn't leave him is because she couldn't run for Senator without his support. So that's a HUGE strike against her. Talk about a made to order "power hungry amoral opportunistic bitch" image.....wow I'd love to get an opponent as easy as she will be to smack down. There's no other state in the US where should could have run for Senator and won besides maybe California.

Bottom line is that Americans are truly sick of the entire Clinton clique and desperately want them off the stage. For good.
