When I got back to Kona after outreach, we had a reunion with the others in our class who went to the Phillipines, my good friend/ex-roomate Jenny (who is literally the nicest person I've ever known) gave me the best welcome ever. We ran to each other, hugged and cried for like 5 minutes.

hmm... besides having great parents especially my mom....I'd say having the opportunity to live and travel overseas.

This girl who I used to be friends with had the nastiest apartment ever You wouldn't believe it. It smelled like crap (her son used to smear feces on the walls), urine, moldy food & body odor. Your feet would turn black walking in her kitchen once. I was scared to sit on the furniture. I called Social Services on her a few times; that place was not sanitary for her kids
