Is the room you sleep in completely dark at night?

Is the room you sleep in completely dark at night? I started using a sleeping bag to block out the light lat spring when the earlier sunrises started waking me up around 5 last spring. I've kept using it since without it quite a bit of light get into my room from outside lights and makes it harder to get to sleep. I should probably start using a timed light to wake me up since I tend to sleep in when there isn't much sunlight to wake me up in the morning.

I sleep better with a bit of light in the room. I'll usually have the tv running with the sound turned off or this time of year there's the christmas tree.

Yes, completely. I even have a comforter pinned up over my window. Sometimes I sleep until noon or 1:00 p.m. so I need it completely dark.

We have a nightlight in the bathroom for the kids, but other than that there are no other lights. I like a bit of light, just so I can smack the intruder and not miss his head.

No, my monitor is always on and right now I have a cheesy fireplace screensaver on at night. There's also the light from my cheesy Christmas tree.

I like a bit of light so I can see where I'm walking during the night. Yes, I know. I 'm supposed to be sleeping, not walking. And I don't mean sleep-walking! I just don't sleep soundly and I get up for a cuppa sometimes during the night. I have little plug in low-lights all over the house that shine on the floor. They work only when the lights go off. Then I don't trip over the dogs who usually get up to check me out, or the dog's toys or step on those bloody nylabones. Man, they hurt when you step on them in your bare feet!

I've never considered it before. I sleep...period. If left to my own device I will sleep until 2 or 3 in the afternoon.

I usually have a little bit of light, plus the fan on. Even if it's below zero.

Right outside my window is a streetlight. Even with the shades down and drapes closed, some light still comes in.

Always. I've used foil previously in windows, but the current landlord/managament company gets bitchy if people put anything up like that, so I use a good heavy blanket.
