Iceage

I saw Iceage over the weekend. Pretyt good movie.

The basic story follows a group of three (four maybe) creatures that are not with heir herds during the migration south for the up and coming big frost. The group consists of a sloth, a mammoth, a sabertooth tiger, and a squirrely rodent. (check out u8nxprts avatar)

Two of the group come across a human child and decide to deliver the child back to the humans.

Overall the movie is very funny, totally predictable, and tons of fun. Everything you'd expect from a good childrens cartoon movie. I really dig the style of the animation, and the writing was pretty good.

I would say it is worth seeing!

How did they interpret the physics causing the Iceage? Shift of the Earth's poles, meterorite landing, comet passing nearby, etc.?

I just watched the first 12 minutes or so. I don't think the animation is all that special. Especially the humans look pretty un-realistic. And the first thing I thought when that mamoth and that sloth (?) set off was 'hmm, a big ugly monster type of thing that doesnt fit in well with the general population, and a small annoying sidekick.....'

sounds a lot like Shrek, only Shrek is much funnier

but thats only the first 12 minutes

Thumbs up

I took my niece to see it. She almost burst from the laughter! I loved it myself, so if you have children, go and see it, you will not be bored, there is adult humor in it... very pleasant.

My parents took my sons to see it on Friday. They all loved it. My parents said that they thought it was too short.
