Greek Vandals Desecrate Jewish Cemetery

ATHENS, Greece -- Vandals spray-painted anti-Semitic slogans on a Holocaust memorial at a Jewish cemetery in the northwestern city of Ioannina, the second desecration of the site in recent years, police said Thursday. Jewish community leaders renewed calls for stronger police protection of the 13th burial ground and a nearby synagogue after "Death to Jews" and "Jews Out" were scrawled on the memorial. "It's clearly anti-Semitic, anti-Jewish, anti-Greek. It's uglier than anything before," said Moses Constantini, head of Greece's Central Board of Jewish Communities, who visited the site Thursday. About two years ago vandals damaged at least three gravestones at the cemetery. Hmmm.... is there any proof? Often these things are done by jews trying to drum up symnpathy for themselves.
