NKorea: Has nukes. Will test them

BEIJING, China -- North Korea is no longer interested in pursuing talks on its nuclear program, a member from Pyongyang's delegation said one day after six-nation discussions wrapped up in Beijing.

"This round of talks was nothing more than empty talks," the unidentified spokesman told reporters at Beijing's airport Saturday, reading from a statement as the team left the Chinese capital after the landmark three-day meeting.

"We no longer have interest or expectations either for this kind of talks."

Before the U.S. gets nuked we really, direly, desperately need to find a way to exterminate the N. Korean military. We need to explore the possibilty of using electromagnetic disruption to neutralize their ICBM potential for a long enough period so that N. Korea's entire military can be obliterated, by whatever means will get the job done and despite collateral.

It's time to get serious. It's them or us who gets annihilated. It's a mutually exclusive situation, realistically.

And while we're at it, it wouldn't hurt to drop a few nukes on China too. They need a lesson about undercutting U.S. workers. Furthermore, Chinese checkers is bar none the worst game ever.

Nah, won't happen if you don't want to. After all it was the US who made the first agressive move by calling N. Korea a rogue nation, part of the axis of evil. The only thing they said was that they'd strike back when struck.

Oooh! They make more efficient use of our concepts free trade and economic competition, so we must nuke them!

No, North Korea made the first aggressive move by breaking its nuclear non-proliferation agreement.

They're sneaky, as has been stated many times. Haven't you been reading VDARE?!

Gearing up to make nuclear weapons is not the same as an agressive move towards the US. Seeing how the were labeled a 'rogue nation', and how two other 'rogue nations' have since been invaded, I would consider it a defensive measure.

Especially since this happened after Bush called them that.

So many thing have been stated so many times, I couldn't care less. 'Sneaky' is a term that could be applied in so many occasions, and to so may nations. It all depends from which angle you look at it.

Fact is that China is well underway to becoming one of the main economic centers in the world, and it has the potential to eventuelly surpass the US. Yes, I understand how scary that must sound.

I suspect what you may be doing is projecting Western ethos on the Koreans. I've known many people who have migrated to the U.S. from South Korea, and their thinking on any particular matter is much different than ours, and in many cases can be considered incompatible. It's my experience that leads me to believe that a totally different approach needs to be taken with the Koreans than with, say, the U.S.S.R. A cold war doctrine, in my opinion, will not work for the U.S.

I agree. Not being so hostile might work, though.

Geesh..I don't know why they are so hostile to us (well, beyond the obvious ).

Did you guys know that the S Koreans build their own tanks and crap? If the North didn't have us to sabre rattle at they MIGHT actually find themselves in a real fight.

Well duh, they broke a treaty, they've been labeled a rogue nation long before Bush came in. They've been posturing in this manner long before Bush came in. They've managed to threaten just about everyone. Please tell us why they just threatened to nuke Austrailia as well.

Its folks like you that cannot get past their seething hatred of the US to understand that this was the same type of threatening they did in the early 90's. Folks like you appeased them, gave the money, cold water reactors, played nicey nice, and trusted them.
Look where that got us..........

Your philosophy is a prime example of why liberalism is dangerous to security and survival.

As usual you got me completely wrong, but try and explain to me, objectively, why the US should be allowed to have nukes, and N. Korea shouldn't.

This just in:

N. Korea 'still willing to talk'

Quote:
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) -- North Korea says that it is willing to resolve the dispute over its nuclear program "through dialogue," in an apparent softening of its stance following last week's six-nation talks in Beijing.

...

On Tuesday, the North's state-run news agency, KCNA, repeated North Korea's threat to increase its nuclear capabilities unless the United States changes its policy and signs a nonaggression treaty with the communist state, but also said North Korea is willing to continue the six-nation talks.
Those fiendish bastards! They will stop developing nukes if the US vows not to attack them!

How unreasonable, how absurd, how utterly arrogant!
