Cool Historical German Propaganda Swing

I've uploaded what I had of Charlie & His Orchestra to geocities. I had a lot more but accidently deleted them when cleaning out my computer and I haven't been able to find them again which is a real pity since they include some of my favourites. Still, those I have are still pretty enjoyable.

South of the Border (Cross the Atlantic)

Three Little Fishies (Three Little Shippies)

Dinah (Whiner)

Let's Go Slumming (Let's Go Shelling) There are two versions of this song. This one is the British airmens song. The other one is the United Nations airmens song.

Bye-Bye Blackbird (Bye-Bye Empire)

Stardust (non-political)

Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? (Bye-bye Churchill, BBC)

Atlantic Wall (not sung by C&O, also includes brief news service)

Pocketful of Dreams (Pocketful of Schemes)

Let's Put Out the Lights And Go To Sleep

Onward Christian Soldiers (not C&O but extremely great)

St. Louis Blues (Blackout Blues)

Can't Stop Me From Dreaming (Can't Stop Me From Scheming)

Thanks For The Memory

Makin' Whoopee

Some of the other good ones which I don't have:

Who'll buy my Bublitchky (Lets Go Bolshevikkie)

Let's Go Slumming (Lets Go Bombing - United Nations)

Daisy (2 versions -one is Winnie, the other is Frankie)

Nice People (probably my favourite)

The Man With the Big Cigar

You can listen to clips of some of the other ones by searching for "German Propaganda Swing" at amazon.com. They used to have clips of all the songs, but now only the first 5 of each CD.

I also had a medley file which is about 14 minutes long but I'll have to split it in half because it is too big for the upload to handle.

Hmm. Some of them have gone off, but others are still available. Weird.
