so very, very tired (13/12/02)

The gym here is rather better-equipped than that in college. Ooooof. Feel like my body's been beaten, battered, and turned into spaghetti. Anyway, have been back for six days now, so I guess I should list my achievements during this time:

* Packed away all stuff from university, stored textbooks and folders nicely in prominent places
* Contemplated being good and doing some of the work set for the christmas vacation
* Decided to delay start of work. I deserve a nice long break
* Been to the gym. A lot. Back six days, trained six times. Go self!
* Strolled around with a camera, documenting my surroundings. Have made an important discovery: this town gets VERY ****ING COLD in winter.
* Visited castle in town centre in the course of the above. Pretty cool, really.
* Baked anzac biscuits and shortbread. Amazingly enough, they came out well, and were recognisable for what they were meant to be. Was so pleased with this that I ate 8 of them. Have now engaged in purging program involving eating no desserts and taking lots of exercise. Since this is almost exactly what I do anyway, it's pretty easy to stick to.
* Spent most of my days as follows: get up at around 07:00, breakfast, loafing on net 'til 11:00, playing of grim fandango/gta3/thief 'til i get bored, shedding of boxers/t-shirt, followed by bath. Then go to gym or do calisthenics, eat dinner, loaf on net a bit more. Paradise.
* Have planned trip to London to stay with friends and get horribly drunk
* Endured long discussion of social habits with parents. Successfully resisted urge to scream for two hours of this, then thrashed them both at Scrabble. My first word was 'performs'
