We're BACK!
hello da'ers! mari blu and redfield have returned from a week long vacation aboard the carnival cruise liner "ecstasey" and visiting mickey mouse and friends.
*just as a heads up, redfield is starting his new job today so he won't be on till much later tonight. day 1 - monday we embarked on the beautiful carnival liner "ecstasey" around 1:00, we boarded, found our room, got some lunch, walked around the ship and had a "emergency drill" in which we all put on our lifejackets, gathered in our designated meeting spot, and re-enacted the sinking of the titanic (not the james cameron version)  dinner was great and all was well...and thus ended our first day aboard the ship....day 2 - we were at sea scheduled to stop at catalina island, but due to bad weather, we remained at sea...(or was that day 3)...you see, all the days blended together in one harmonious trip, so it's difficult to be sure whether or not something happened on a particular day... but i think it was day 2... we had lunch, dinner (we got all spiffy and man did we look nice!) redfield, was killer looking, and my boys looked like minature "james bonds". it was way too cute!  i think it was this night that we all got together after dinner to watch a musical rendition of the ages...starring the "exstasy girls!...and gay guys" whoooo hooo! it was too hilarious! day 3 - weather permits us to debark at santa catalina island via small charter boats...(yucky) we took a cruise around the only city on the island (avalon), and took an underwater excursion via a semi-submergible. (i started getting sick...yucky)  then after about 3-4 hours headed back to the ship on the charter boats...and yes people...I HURLED!!! since we had had bad weather the day before, the sea was ugly and the ship was going up and down, and i held it as long as i could, but in the end, my omlette came up! what was funny is that the girl sitting next to me had this look on her face...  ! too funny!day 4 - we had thanksgiving dinner on board (after we visited ensenada mexico) and had a great time with my honey and family (extended and not so extended)! day 5 - we left the boat went to disneyland had a great time and spent the night in a hotel with a dead prostitute under our bed (j/k...can anyone get where that's from?) p.s. mickey mouse says hello to everyone! we left for home, got home, late, slept in late the next day, and prepared for redfield's first day at his new job...i'm very proud of him!  missed you guys....(okay, not really, but i thought of you, does that count?)....glad to be home.

let me first say welcome back!!!
i sounds like you guys had a great time and i am sure it was much needed. i hope you got some pics to share with the rest of us that had to stick around here and pull our hair out.

actually no. we were on the west coast, we went from long beach to santa catalina island, to ensenada then back to long beach. we just added disneyland on our own after the cruise

Gotcha!
 Glad tyo her you had a good time. I was planning on taking a Carribean cruise next fall, as long as these illnesses stop.

We did miss you all. But we're back now
The cruise was great. The food was 24 hours and everything, save liquor and soda, was included in the price. The ship was beautiful, the dining was 5 star, the wine was superb, and always something to do. Disneyland was cool, too. It snows there during December. Here are some temporary pics to tide you over.  The Ship  The Panorama Bar & Grill  The Atrium  The Blue Sapphire Lounge  The Room *The room was assigned a ship stateroom steward for the duration of the cruise. Ours was Alina. She was great.
