'Broken' Kylie heads for hills
By Sophie Tedmanson September 14, 2002 KYLIE Minogue has flown from Europe to West Australia's Kimberley region after reportedly suffering a nervous breakdown. Locals in Broome said they were shocked to see a gaunt-looking Minogue dining with her mother, Carol, in the grounds of the town's waterfront Cable Beach Resort. "She was looking terribly, terribly skinny," one local said yesterday. Minogue met her mother at Perth International Airport earlier this week and the pair caught a connecting flight to Broome. But they left town yesterday, after a British tabloid newspaper revealed their location and media representatives flocked to the resort. Minogue and her mother checked out of their hotel yesterday afternoon and left town in a hired 4WD LandCruiser with a driver. However, speculation that the pair were travelling to the exclusive -- and isolated -- El Questro resort in the eastern Kimberley was dismissed last night by the resort's owners. News that Minogue had slipped town disappointed a small group of Broome locals who spent yesterday waiting at the town's airport, hoping to catch a glimpse of the star. British tabloids reported Carol Minogue insisted that her daughter take a month off work to relax, after apparently breaking down last week on the Paris set of her new video, Come Into My World. Unnamed friends of the singer blamed Minogue's hectic work schedule and break-up with boyfriend James Gooding for affecting her health. "Kylie is so worn out, both physically and mentally, she just can't go on," an unidentified source told The Sun newspaper in London. "She didn't realise she was suffering a breakdown until (her mother) demanded she get back to Australia to see her." The Australian

Wow!! She's such a good singer, even though she's old. (SHE REALLY DOESN"T LOOK IT THOUGH). But all good things have there time to come to an end. This just might be the beging to her retirement who knows. I hope that everything work out for her!!!

I remember that show she was on... "Neighbors",
 (i think it was called?) it was played in England when I lived there, but that was a long time ago. Is that show still on?

she has a few in the US...but she is more of an international star.. i head that the were gonna make an ABBA like musical based on her songs.....not unlike Mama Mia the musical
