As many of you know, Allan Holdsworth is the best guitarist in the world, along with Frank Gambale, of course. When I attended the Allan Holdsworth concert back in May from the second row center at the Ridgefield Playhouse I actually entered the Alpha/Theta border at one point. It was during a solo type thing in which he was doing all kinds of ambient chord phrasing. Very interesting.
