Adam Carolla Humiliates "Psychic"
God, I love Adam even more for this.
This woman is absolute scum imo, as are all people who prey upon the gullibility of grieving people who have lost a loved one. There ought to be a law passed against these gypsies.

So is that you dislike psychics or that you dislike people pretending to be psychics, or maybe you just don't believe in psychics and it pisses you off?

I don't believe in psychics and I hold those that claim to be able to contact the dead in low regard since they're snake oil salesmen that prey on grief.

Okay, I'll not try to convince you but since I'm bored I'll share my experince wit da shit. You down? Sure you are.
Worked with a guy. The guys wife went and saw a psychic. Among other things, the psychic said "Your husband works with a really tall dude who uses a metal detector. You should have your husband go with him some time" Neither the wife or the psychic had ever heard of me. But wait, there is more For fun I went to this group meeting that was held in a basement. It was one of those meetings where they contact the dead. Yeah, I know what your thinking. I went as a skeptic. The only thing they asked you to do is concentrate on 2 names that have passed that you know. So I did, and low and behold the medium said someone is trying to come through with the name "orven". Well I'll be damned that was 1 of the names, not exactly common either. She then said, wait, there is a stronger presence here, a robert, bingo name number 2. The medium then said that robert was showing me a tree house by a creek, and that it was blue, and it was on his property. Well I'll be a sonofabitch now, I built a massive blue tree house on grandpa roberts property in 1985. The medium went on to describe the land robert was showing him. Yeah, that's where I live now. Believe or don't believe, but that is the god's honest truth. Left me befuddled. |

When she said Orbert, did she flat out say "Orbert" or did she say "I see someone...someone with an O...who was thinking of an O?" et cetera?

No, she said "Robert" and "Orven". Yeah, I thought of that too. It was nothing like that. She wasn't leading the audience that way.

100% of self-described "psychics" are frauds, nutjobs, or most likely a combination of both. If anyone claims to believe in psychic phenomena or astrology, I automatically deduct 20 points from their IQ.

You have to love the closed minded. I'm in awe of them. In their perfect little world the rules of science apply always, and when something disputes that sense of security, up come the defenses. On the rare occassion they are presented with the supernatural, they even go so far as to dismiss their own eyes. I find that pathetic.

Funny that none of these "psychics" take their special powers to James Rhandi and cash in on his offer of 1 million dollars. Seems like it should be easy enough...why no takers?
