![]() I think 86Dude is the only one here besides me that owns one. For those that don't know it's a big deal. Until now it's been next to impossible for Mini-30 owners to get anything reliable over 10 rds. Owners have been pleading with Ruger for years to manufacture them, and the time has finally come. Ruger says they plan to sell the mags separately next year some time. Hopefully I'll be able to get a couple before The One bans them. ![]()

BTW, here's a picture of my baby with a pre-ban 30rd magazine:
That mag can get the job done, but alas, that particular mag is a finicky bitch who has pissed me off in the past and will be sold as soon as I get a couple of the factory 20's.

They need to make high cap mags for the P90. Bastards.

I like this Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan .44 Magnum. Should be good for taking down "big game" and stuff.

^The barrel is too short and and the gun is too light for that caliber.
I like Rugers overall, they are pretty good quality are certainly durable for the price, and always have been. I've never owned anything like the firearm in the OP, though, and probably never will, so I have no idea how well those are made, but I hear enough complaints about accuracy and jamming not to want one. I like my M-14 and I'm used to it so I'll stick with it, despite the weight differences; maybe when I get older it will be a hassle, but now it isn't.

One of reasons why I got rid of my Mini's was the lack of high-quality, high capacity magazines. Now that Ruger is FINALLY offering them again I kinda wish I hadn't sold them
![]() I had a Mini with a wire-framed, folding stock like that too, but I didn't like the cheek weld. If I still had one today I think I'd go with the Tapco Intrafuse stock and mount an Aimpoint CompM3 or something similar on the Picatinny rail. Can you still remove the front sight pin and attach a flash suppressor like on the old Mini's? |

Those Tapco's are ****ing horrible pieces of plastic junk. I picked on up at a gunshow once and I think I threw up in my mouth a little. Don't bother with those.
Yeah can still remove the front sight, it's a bitch though. Unless your a gunsmith with all the tools, expect to spend a lot of time getting it off.

I always wanted to convert my dad's mini 14 to a bullpup. He never let me though.

The mini-14 bullpups aren't very good either.
If you want to go aftermarket, go Hogue, Butler Creek Folder, or if you like the tacticool thing get an ATI stock. If you have money to blow get a Clyde Armory SCAR stock. I like the butler creek. It's a little cheap on the molding, but the buttstock is rock solid with no wiggle. Keep in mind that with a lot of these stocks, you need to buy a few extra parts (stock reinforcement, washers, and screws) if your mini came with a factory synthetic. If you want a rail, get an ultimak. They're high quality and very solid.

![]() On the old Mini all you'd have to do is remove the front sight pin, slide the aftermarket flash suppressor over the muzzle and install the longer, aftermarket pin. The only tools required were a small punch and a mallet. |

Get em while they're hot! You'll probably end up on backorder, but meh, as long as you get them.
