I would destroy you at Mario Kart Wii. Admit it, you're scared. That's why you've not gotten a Wii.

I've got a PS2, however, even though you can play PS1 games on it you can't save PS1 games on PS2 because of the different memory cards.

The only 2 good video games released in the last 10 years, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and GTA IV, is not available on the Wii. So PS3 by default.

Those games are stupid. Endwar was an awesome title, and was released on both the 360 and the PS3, however, it was designed to be played online. There is never anyone online on the PS3 and you have to wait a week to get a match started. 360 is the gold standard for online play. Hell, from what I hear, you can't even find your friends online with the PS3. Lame.

Wii is for kids and family. That's why it has inferior graphics, procs, etc.
PS3 and XBOX360 are for more mature crowds.

It's like comparing legos to home hobby model kits. They're for different target audiences.

Not really. Many adults and hardcore gamers have a Wii, especially for the Mario and Zelda games. Yes, I will admit that when a multi platform game comes out, I will get it for my 360, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the Wii has several great titles, even for someone who doesn't care about all those silly little kids games they keep coming out with. All and all I have to say that the Wii is a strong system and their next system will improve on their graphics and have much better online play.

I think Nintendo did the right thing. They knew they weren't able to compete on the graphics field after the failure of the Game Cube. They lacked the proper funding to put money into real development. They released the Wii with old technology and it really paid off for them. I hope they do the right thing and put all that money into development. It would be awesome if Nintendo comes out with the Next system, of course 360 would quickly follow and this would leave the PS3 in the dust, as they expect it to last until 2016.

And many older kids and adults still play with legos. That doesn't change that it was basically designed with the kid-tween-teen crowd in mind.
The two systems can't be compared apples to apples like that.

Yes they can. They are VIDEO GAMY CONSOLES. It's not Nintendo's fault that Sony tried to go outside the video game demographic and failed. When it comes to video games, yes, PS3 has a far superior console, but costs were driven up by features that the average GAMER didn't want. Sony is now trying to rectify this by removing many of those features. Nintendo hasn't had to do that... By all standards of business, Nintendo has almost completely destroyed Sony. I, for one, can't wait until the next system comes out. I am sure it will be up to par with your 'adult' standards...

I say PS3.

As for Xbox360 vs PS3 I'd also have to choose PS3.

Graphics are far superior (no comparison) when you have it at max settings (RGB full range etc.) with an HD TV.

PS3 exclusives blow Xbox360 exclusives out of the water when it comes to graphics. You don't see that on games shared by both consoles since it's first made for the Xbox360 and then on the Ps3 to make sure the 360 can handle it.

Nothing on the Xbox360 comes close to Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2.

As for the future, Microsoft will have to give a lot of money to Sony so they can use Blu Ray, since Sony has exclusive rights to it.

If Sony wants more people to use the BluRay than DVD, then they will need to give up their exclusive rights. As long as Sony holds the exclusive rights, DVD drives will be placed in computers and Sony will remain behind regardless of quality. I mean, remember Betamax? They were better than VHS, quality-wise.

As for PS3 it really doesn't offer anything worthwhile. It has a limited game selection and many of it's previously console exclusive games are now multi-platform. Also, when there is a multi-platform release, it is generally known that the PS3 has a weaker version than the 360.

Madden 08 for instance, ran at 30 fps as opposed to 60 fps on the 360. Another example, Lost Planet, was not only released almost a year later on the PS3, but ran at a very sluggish frame rate and was missing a lot of the eye candy.

In my blockbuster they already have a whole section dedicated to Blu Ray. It's slowly taking over. I don't know how Sony is dealing with the rights at the moment, to be honest. Blu Ray is far superior to HD DVD for games, if you see where technology is going. And I think if Microsoft doesn't come up with a way to compete with that, they'll lose the next generation. Game producers will be able to do far more with Sony's blu ray.

Limited game selection? That's just not true. So I'm missing out on Halo and Gears? No biggie, really. Most of the Xbox360 "exclusives" I can just play on the PC instead.

MGS4, Demon's Souls, Killzone 2, Uncharted 2.....all top games with very high ratings on Metacritic which 360 users won't be able to play.

Your lost planet example is really not a PS3 problem but the developer's fault. It's a little harder to program for the PS3. I don't know if you're referring to the gametrailer comparisons regarding multi platform, but their videos are lies! They didn't adjust the settings on the PS3 and disabled RGB full range.

Well, PS3 lost this generation. People simply wanted a cheaper console and went for the obvious. Though, the PS3 is ultimately no more expensive in the long run people don't think that far. I think that also reflects on the fact that there is simply a little more action on the 360 online, though I never have a problem finding other players on the Ps3.

And that's the primary reason many developers fled and started making games for the 360. Well... that and the serious lack of console sales for the PS3...

From a completely business standpoint, the PS3 is a complete failure. But who knows... maybe it will FINALLY pay off in 5 years or so.. lol

If my PS3 had a built in Vagina I wouldn't need my wife. It would be the perfect home companion.

Yes. And, she's right. Sure, the other girl is fun to play around with, but when it comes down to it, the PS3 can cook and do my laundry. There's no reason you can't have both.

You're talking about the "slim" PS2? The original PS2 used exactly the same memory cards. There is an adaptor for the PS3 to transfer the original PS1 & 2 saved games onto the HD. It might work for the slim PS2 also.

Correct. However, Sony is moving in the wrong direction. They're watering down their system to compete with the Wii...which isn't their demographic to begin with. Retards.
