A taste you will never forget

Since the mid 1990s, the Korean culture wave, ranging from TV dramas, songs, movies, food to electronic equipments, has dominated Asia and is now on the verge of swallowing the world.

The most famous traditional Korean Food is Kimchi, gochujang and bulgogi. Also famous are chungookjang, ganjang, deonjang and other healthy foods that the world will favor. Makguli, the traditional Korean wine made from fermenting the rice, is famous throughout the world.

France is famous for its wine, Japan for its Sake, US for its whiskey, Mexico for its tequila. Now, Korea is famous for its Makguli. Because of its unique taste, one you taste Makguli, you will never forget it.

If you have any plans to visit Korea, come and have a drink of Makguli!

Oh to ride the wind, To tread the air above the din
Oh to laugh aloud, Dancing as we fought the crowd

My kids used to take Tae Kwon Do (or as I used to call it; "Take One's Dough").

Anyway, we used to go to lots of picnics and stuff and the Koreans always made this really sweet, chopped up beef on the grill. I think it may have been sweetened with honey. I have no clue what it's called but it was delicious.

Kimchi is definately an aquired taste. You can get it at any Korean restaurant as well as a lot lf heath food stores.

My wife makes her own. One of our sensei's in Kendo is Korean. During last years New Years party, the Mrs had a long talk with him about something and they spent the whole time just about. I asked her later what that was about and she said that they were talking about how to prepare kimchi.
