Dogberry is off sick

I went to work but it is hopeless.

I have an ear infection, I cant hear much and there is apprently a little man clinging to the side of my head banging a six inch nail into it.

^ A hot compress can help. And a decongestant to help unplug the eustation tubes helps too. And take some ibuprofen for the pain and swelling.

Thank you both, yes I am taking all of that.

But being a man the pain is much worse than anything anyone else has experienced, I think I may be dying. Think kindly of me............

You can always use something sharp to let the pain demons out of your ear.

Funny, my wife suggested that, she is looking for me now with a big knife in her hand.

I think she means well.

A sick man usually whines enough to warrant domestic assault.

Have you tried putting a few drops of mineral oil in your ear? That might help dissolve impacted wax, provided that's part of your problem anyway.

Sorry to hear you don't feel well. Get thee to a doctor if you haven't already. Head pain is the hardest pain to lose.

Putting anything in your ear when there's a chance you may have a ruptured eardrum (which can happen with earaches on occasion) is a huge no-no, and provides a breeding ground for bacteria.

Just drop a huge rock on your foot, and viola, you'll forget all about the pain in your ear.

That will be $10,000 for the medical advice.

I have returned from deaths door. However there is still a small rodent scurrying about in my right ear.

Now I appreciate why Van Gogh did what he did.
