Three Explosions rock Baghdad Green Zone

Quote:
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Three explosions rocked Baghdad's heavily fortified Green Zone hours on Saturday after British Prime Minister Tony Blair arrived for meetings with Iraqi government leaders, officials said.

The agenda on what will likely be Blair's final Iraq visit as prime minister includes meetings with his Iraqi counterpart, Nuri al-Maliki, and President Jalal Talabani.

The explosions wounded one person, said U.S. Embassy spokesman Lou Fintor. According to preliminary reports, no deaths occurred. (Watch what reports say about trouble in British sector as Blair visits )

"At approximately 11:30 a.m. there were four explosions," three of them that hit inside the Green Zone, Fintor said.

We just need to give the surge a few more years... I think we should go ahead and send another 50,000 troops over there. I mean, clearly the insurgency is in its last throes, with our mission accomplished, and the surge making all of Iraq safer.

Quit projecting. If he was happy about Americans being killed in IRaq, he wouldn't favor a pullout, now would he? If you want America to fail, you would support attacking Iraq, and if you want Americans to die, you would support staying there.

Your right. I love dead kids my age. I love that they have to go and get blown to pieces and ****ed up so politicians and corporations can play their little geopolitical games. That the majority of these kids are barely given a choice and join out of financial necessity, and end up reinforcing the economic structure that put them in such a position in the first place makes it all the sweater when their limbs get blown off. I hope we stay over there for another 5 years so that the corpses keep piling up higher, and higher, and higher. So that more kids can get their legs and arms blown into 18 pieces.

I'm damn near drooling right now dude.
