Three More Years of Lost

The creators of Lost and ABC have reached agreement that the show will run for three more years,48 more episodes.

That means the last year of the show will be the 2009-2010 season, there will be more characters and the last show will have a major relevation about Jack.

Thank God I realised this was gonna be an endless stream of plot holes - despite the writers and producers claims I honestly think they are winging it and squeezing the last few bucks out of this thing.

Remember Bobby Ewing waking up and finding the last few months episodes were "all a dream" - what a crock.

I'll stick to Discovery and National Geo...

I think the endless plot holes will continue We just get an ending now.

I think I agree with you David. I was talking about this with a friend the other day. A lot of shows with cult followers, X-Files, Battlestar, Star Trek, they try very hard to 'have a bible' and stick with it. They need continuity in their world and they need to make sure they keep the world consistent. Lost doesn't do that. They don't storyboard well, their arcs sometimes go on too long, not long enough, or jut drop in the middle.

It is a fascinating idea, with decent characters, and good actors, but they just mucked it up.

I like Lost because of the character development,I think it humanizes the characters and makes the show must see TV for me.

In comparison,I never really liked 24 because that show was way too compressed to have any real character development.

In September of 2004 a plane from Australia to LA crashes somewhere in the South Pacific and it shows the people who survive the crash, what their lives were like before the crash [almost all of them have deep trauma],how they are adapting to the crash and how they are being treated by the people who were already on the island.

The show is even more complicated than that, but that's the plot in a nutshell, next Wednesday the season will end with a violent showdown between the two groups of inhabitants on the island,my guess is people on both sides will die, people on both sides will survive and the war wil continue next season.

I saw one episode in 2005 and was so bored with it that I have never had any desire to watch it again.

It just looked completely stupid.
