Thumbs up Want a guy? Come to San Jose

Want a guy? Come to San Jose
article link
(snip)

The research, by Men's Health magazine and presented on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" by the magazine's editor, Dave Zinczenko, looked at U.S. Census and other research in six categories: ratio of single men to single women, fitness, philanthropy, divorce rates, education and the "thrill factor" - high-energy activities like kayaking and biking.

San Jose ranked first in singles ratio, fitness and thrill factor. (Interestingly, the magazine did not rank housing costs, length of work week or traffic congestion.)

"There are plenty ... to choose from in this diverse city, where residents speak more than 52 languages. The men stay in shape, too. On any of the more than 300 sunny days a year, you'll spot muscular guys in the well-maintained public parks and on the numerous hiking and biking trails. Great weather and hot, successful men - what more could you ask for?"
Yes, I'm available.

hehehehe@ the eyebrows smiley you used.

Yep, I've heard this before. And it IS where silicon valley is, so there are a lot of smart guys there... (engineer types, etc).

I lived in San Jose for a long time. That's where I lived when I was with my first boyfriend. We had a place together in Cupertino, near DeAnza college.

I'm not crazy about San Jose though... I like being closer to the ocean! Also, the traffic, it's pretty horrible, wouldn't you say? I don't know how people can do that commute. My brother-in-law commutes everyday from Livermore to San Jose, he probably spends 3 or 4 hours each day just driving to and from work.

I have NO demand for any guy involving sexual intimacy. Animals? That's a different story, but I digress.

But for the reasons below, San Jose lusts to be Ennis Texas and I just know the SJ will be a ghost town by sunset tonight if our advantages become known. Ennis is only a 35-minute drive into the D/FW Metroplex that contain over 6-million folks, and if you know that, our benefits over SJ will be obvious. Oh, you are welcome (in advance) for my answering your question re our advantages, so think naught of it.

Only 7 of thousands of major advantages we have:

(1) One can drive for 35 minutes if one chooses to be mugged or killed.

(2) One can find a billion Wal-Marts to shop in if our isn't sufficient.

(3) One can go and seek a job and be told, "Never come back, ever, never you dumb hick."

(4) One can become a serial arsonist and serial killer (at the same time) as I have done and have all of those people to troll for, target, and hunt and all of those building to torch. (My new goal is to become a spree killer. I think goals are important, too.)

(5) One can have his "Stand by Your Man" women. Or, is that in Tennessee? Oh, well...

(6) One can fit right in with a huge beer belly (fitting in is key for #4, above).

(7) One is expected to be as a basketball player was defined, "As dumb as a box of bricks" because we are.

I would list thousands more, but I don't want to embarrass any SJ residents.

Envy us. We are used to it.

At least I'm just about a half-hour from Santa Cruz if I need an ocean fix.

In places, yeah, though the economy has helped a little.

I used to do the reverse commute: San Jose to Dublin/Pleasanton (1.5 hours/day) or Fremont to Dublin/Pleasanton (1 hour/day). I'd feel sorry for the people going the other direction. I wouldn't ever want to spend that much time on the road just for commuting. Poor Chris.

It's disrespectful to call your Momma a chick.
