My question is how can Garrison Keillor's intellegent,literate,bright,funny,sad,moving script for A Prairie Home Companion is not be nominated for Adapted Screenplay and Borat is nominated in that category.

Forget the fact Borat is a film by,of and for nothing but crass rubes.

Forget that Borat plays to the lowest common denomiator.

Forget that Borat sucks.

Forget all of that.

Borat is nominated for it's screenplay when it doesn't even have a screenplay in the first frickin' place,it's all imrpovisation and film editing,no written dialogue,let alone dialouge that takes real skill as a writer.

It's enough to make one shit in a bag.

And of the remaining ones that I haven't seen, maybe three of them are ones I'm interested in watching.

Little Miss Sunshine for best picture is a bit suprising.

I think Forrest Whitikaer should win Best Actor.

This is like the question about who wins a fight between King Kong and Godzilla. On the one side is puerile, infantile humor on the other a self-righteous overblown unfunny douchebag.

Having said that, Garrison Keillor flat out sucks, so the fact that his movie has been beaten out by one that failed to reach the level of the three stooges only gladdens my heart.

Not that I would ever actually watch either of them, of course. And hopefully Keillor will do some of his patented whining. That's the only time he's amusing.

they didnt nominate paul verhoeven's blackbook for best foreign movie.. fell out in the last selection.
