Im very proud of you, spaz. well done.
Ta-da! I was supposed to pick some kind of political issue that was bothering me, so I picked George W. Bush's existance.![]()
Bush; America’s Number One Killer?
George W. Bush.....America’s most beloved murderer.
Our current president, George W. Bush, had a rocky start to his reign in 2001, when the worst terror attack in American history was committed on the World Trade Center. It was later found that several Federal Aviation Administration memo’s warned of a possible attack from al Qaeda or Osama bin Laden, and no extra security measures were ordered.
In 2003, our leader declared a “war on terror” with Iraq. Though he stated that the innocent would be spared and respected, thousands of random passerby were killed. Even though we have fulfilled our original goal to capture Saddam Hussein, America still has soldiers in Iraq. "These brave men and women gave their lives for a cause that is just and necessary for the safety of the country, and now we will honor their sacrifice by completing the mission." he stated in Idaho, August 25, 2005. But what exactly IS the mission? Will we ever know?
Now, in September of 2005, a destructive hurricane has destroyed New Orleans, killing thousands of people. American citizens are coming together, donating clean water and food, and volunteering to help clean up the disaster area. But what is our fearless leader doing? “The President of the United States had flown his plane down to 1700 feet to get a better look at the flood damage! And there was a photo of our Commander-in-Chief looking out the window. He looked very serious and concerned.” said one report on September 1rst. On September 2nd, George enjoyed a nice, relaxing game of golf. How helpful!
As always, I’m sure our country understands. Even though, when you add it all up, little Georgie’s reign resulted in millions of deaths and families torn apart, we still love him! LONG LIVE KING GEORGE!

Love your report Spaz. Well done...whatever age you are![]()
You know, I wouldn't doubt it if you are. Your posts don't sound like a 13 year old's posts at all. I guess that's a veiled compliment to your maturity, but yeah, weird.
Nice - only thing I'd suggest is if you're actually doing research for a report - don't forget if it's about Bush in general, and not "The many reasons I don't like Bush," that you should take a look at it from more than one point of view![]()
Something tells me that a 7th grade teacher would simply be impressed that one of her students knows the name of the sitting president in our current educational climate.
Wow, that was so stereotyping of me. I'm going to leave it in my post to see who catches it first.
Tsk Tsk... you know that in today's PC age that should have been "that one of his/her students"...Originally Posted by ResidentRice

M.
Is this the crap they are teaching you in school these days? Jesus christ, I mean seriously. This is worse than when I was in school. You are writing a paper titled "Bush is America's number one killer" and this is actually considered school work? I knew things were bad in our schools today but I never thought they were THIS bad.
The Chinese are studying algebra in 5th grade and our kids are writing anti-bush diatraibes containing no hint of critical thinking skills. Yay.
Wow, I thought it was funny considering the context.
It's well written, I'll give you that. And the kind of neuanced writing that Contra's talking about is a bit more difficult than algebra... and he isn't very good at it either.
Not a bad report but your conclusion doesn't seem to fit and needs to be re-worded (IMO):
"little Georgie’s reign resulted in millions of deaths and families torn apart"
*you didn't provide any facts to back this number.
*The wording implies the people died or were devastated by the hurricane/9-11 as a result of his reign instead of his leadership. (Would these events still have happened if someone else was elected?)
Try: "A large number of people died and their families were torn apart as a result of little Georgie's poor leadership..."
Scandal? The government dispatched more firepower to arrest Nakoula Basseley Nakoula in Los Angeles than it did to protect its mission in Benghazi.
B.S. I'm 36 and I distinctly remember the kind of crap we were writing in the 7th grade. Mine was bad, but it was well ahead of the class. Most of the kids couldn't string together a complete sentence.Originally Posted by rubicon

As much as I don't like Bush, trying to make him out as "America's number one killer" is a little bit of a streach.
Honestly, what would the complainers have the president do about the hurricane? Actually get out of his plane and help rescue people? Does he have the training for that?
Now I heard Cindy Sheehan say that the troops in New Orleans are "federal occupiers" or some crap like that. The fact is, you can never please all the naysayers becuase they get their kicks out of criticizing the "other guy". I mean, look how these very same people just adore Clinton...even though he was just as horrible for this country as Bush. Yet, in their eyes, he's "one of the greatest presidents" as Al Gore said.
What a bunch of BS. BTW, remember when Clinton bombed Serbia and left thousands of innocent people dead and tens of thousands without shelter, food and water...just in time for winter? I guess that was okay, becuase he bombed them for "humanitarian reasons".

The assignment was to write an oppinionated report on a political issue. My grade was to be based on information, length, and wording. Oppinion had nothing to do with it.
If you think the report sucks, just say so. Don't try to make me out as stupid because we don't share the same oppinion.Originally Posted by rubicon
