^ Yeah, it is a nice place, where I'm at. Right on the coast, gorgeous sunsets, the weather is nice... and the food is SOO good. And everything is cheap. There's beaches, surfing, places to visit (like Ensenada nearby), wineries, and did I mention the food?Seafood is really inexpensive here, but good.
As far as the safety... well, it's safer here than in Tijuana. But even Tijuana is definitely not as bad as Juarez. As long as you stay away from the drugs and bad parts of town, it's safe, no one I know has ever had a serious problem here.
Here's a photo of the sunset on Christmas Eve. (you might've seen this before, I've posted it before) It was amazing that evening.
