Civil liberties would be my pick for the "most important issues" thread. Picking specific ones such as 'abortion' kinda waters down the importance. You also missed Iraq as one of the big issues.

Also, I'd like to see an "undecided" and/or "uncertain" option added to the polls with a "yes" or "no" as the only choices.

Leave the polls open for longer than a couple days, I didn't get to vote in any of them, and by looking at the number of people that voted, many others wern't able to either..

Government corruption should be another option in the most important issues thread, and Iraq has nothing to do with terrorism, since there's no proof other than some wild speculation, lumping it in with terrorism would be ridiculous..

The polls will be run on a bi weekly basis to note changes and add and subtract new questions depending on the new news items and how they relate to the election.
