I did notice the after I posted. Emoticons are strange cutesy crap. I would prefer not to have them. A lot of people use them to lessen the degree of bite the words they have just typed have on the reader. They are somehow supposed to excuse the true expression that was just typed by adding some cute crap to the post. In my opinion. If you have something to say just say it and stop trying to sugar coat it with emoticons that need to be interpreted and can also be misinterpreted. In my further opinion if a person has to use childlike drawings in order to express their true feelings there is a problem. As I see it this board is in danger of being overmoderated to the point that it will become a big cluster **** and worthless as a place to DISCUSS ANYTHING.

"Each one will carry 1 warning, except for name calling which carries 2. At 6 warnings you receive a temporary ban for 5 days."

So if you are going on vacation and won't be posting for 5 days or more, plan ahead. Post 6 zingers before you leave and by the time you return, you be back online, rested and ready to resume the fight.

we do what we think needs to be done. If we loose a few, then so be it. What can you do? And there is no way we are over moderated. We are undermoderated if anything

True, but it also advocates breaking the rules that are being set up to make this place enjoyable. There have been a whole lot of complaints about how the debate forums have gone to hell, and to have someone tell people to keep at it really won't help the situation any.

If by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."

It's not breaking the rules. It's exploring them and working effectively within boundaries. It implies spirit, intelligence and humor.

I'm just explaining, not taking a stance one way or the other. I get the humour in your post, I just don't think it'd be funny if people actually took the advice of it.

I'm confident that if anyone were inclined to do it, they don't need me to invent the idea.

There is no menu at all under the "quick links" tab. At least not in the skin (DA classic?) I'm using.

I wasn't talking about Norwegian politics. The Democrats here are Liberals and the Conservatives are called Republicans. It's a whole different animal than what you're accustomed to.
