I never bought the boxed set as I already had most if not all of it. You've inspired me to go listen to some misfits though....

you oughta get the boxed set. it has a fiend club pin and has previously unreleased tracks and versions of songs you've not heard before.

has a booklet full of lyrics, some foreword of some sort by i forget who...

if you can find it...get it. i got mine years ago, you'll probably have to find a "used" boxed set.

oh, no, this one is from 96. i love it! but the cases to the first three CD's are made of thin cheap plastic. but the fourth one, static age has a really nice case to it. cant figure that out.

i figured it was cheaper than buying all the CDs...i previously had everything on tapes and when i went to CD's...i figured the boxed set would be cheaper.

Eh, I've probably heard versions that aren't even in there. I've had friends obsessed with misfits that had recordings that danzig probably doesn't even know existed. I love the misfits, but I can put that $70 to better use.

sounds like a friend i had. he collected danzig ANYTHING. mitsfits, samhain, danzig...bootlegs, videos, vinyl LPs, all kinds of ****.

he was a danzig nut. kinda felt sorry for him since some of danzigs later stuff sucked. pretty much anything past danzig 4 IMO.

From the Guitar Mania site just heard The Alex Skolnick Trio do an intense, creative version of Sabbath's War Pigs.

The following song was done by a groups of LA session musicians called Karizma, the guitarist Mike Landau, sounded a lot like Scott Henderson, excellent stuff.

After that was a live recording of the amazing bassist the Hellborg, (the late) great guitarist Shawn Lane, and Jeff Sipe.

I highly recommend that Live 365 station if you want to expose yourself to some amazing musicians. If you have iTunes playing your mp3's, it will remember the necessary web address and prevent a lot of the ads associated with Live 365.

I think Hiram Bullock plays guitar on this one; great little jam.
