I tried to hate that song but couldn't. I like it.

    Playing now:
    "New Direction" by Gorilla Biscuits
    "Good Good Things" Descendents
    "99 Red Balloons" 7 Seconds
    "Guns of Brixton" The Clash

    That's some good listening there!

"Peter Gunn"-Duane Eddy [orignal version, though I do like the Art Of Noise remake].
It is difficult for any decent person to sit back and not comment on the anti-Semitism,racism ,sexism ,and all-around ignorance espoused on the majority of DA's posts,it's fucking sad when one gets a warning for simply being a decent person.

Jay GW, just for the record, I think TT is older than I am. But, if I am reading between the lines correctly, Jay GW, you seem to be frustrated at your ignorance level and are projecting the resulting insecurity on me. All I can suggest is to resist the infantile rebelliousness, pay attention, open your mind and learn from me and others.

The Tech Web of Sound had a special going, so I popped in the Big Generator and 90125 by YES, which Krigbert, are some of the great albums post 70's, actually 1987 and 1983 respectively.

Jay GW, is everything okay? Are you going through some emotional difficulties of some kind? Go ahead and type it out. If you express your troubles and just let it out, you might feel better. Don't just sit there being a stagnant, angry, hateful aethiest without a clue.

For the on topic content, I just heard The Buckinghams psychedelic masterpiece, You. They are currently touring with two original members of the band. Just heard The Band's classic Chest Fever, the keyboard intro of which reminds me a little of Unrepresented's song, Monolith.

On the Tech Web of Sound, now a version of China Cat Sunflower by The Dead I never heard before, amazing stuff.

Have you ever heard of The Grateful Dead, Jay GW?

Jay GW,it's been said the 60's as a culture began when JFK was assasinated and ended when Nixon resigned.

I was 18 when Tricky Dick quit,so you can say that culturally I am a prduct of the 60's and think that's damn fine.

In 60's culture bigotry wasn't cool and kids didn't bring guns to school then,so yeah, the 60's and hippies are damn fine with me,neocons are not.

By the way, remember this:In his life Sprio Agnew had a Tricky Dick .

Of course his name was Nixon.

TT, actually in the 60's, political correctness was nothing like it is today and people were free to be bigots or whatever they wanted to be and they were generally free to carry weapons. Of course, the authorities got concerned when radical hate groups such as the Black Panthers became well armed. Also, the "neocons" were still leftist, aethiest commies back then.

No music tonight, just watched the UConn game with several other UConn grads.

    Captain Beefheart - electricity

I have it on mp3(and I'll probably have it on CD as well soon), but I'm grinning anyway. It's proof that this is a good radio station

    - You can pop in your own stuff in it? Or are you actually a part of the station?

    - I'm thinking you've probably had too much contact with certain modern "wannabe hippies"

Krigbert, no I meant popped a CD in the CD drive on the PC.

I just listened to The Pink Fairies play 10,000 Words In A Cardboard Box on the Tech Web. Surprising it was very heavy stuff. Guitarist Larry Wallis of The Pink Fairies joined UFO for a short time and became a founding member of Motörhead.
