I'm listening to my son trying to figure out a song on his new keyboard, while thanking God he's not playing a violin.

I love the sound of a good fiddle player, but the sound of a beginner can be almost unbearable. It's a tricky instrument to master and play clean. Also, headphones can be a Godsend late at night when it's time for peace and quiet. There's much to be appreciated about the sound of silence at certain times.
