Well you worded it kind of odd. I suppose if you follow the order of operations you'd do the division first, but because you spelled out divided by I assumed you meant it to be [(6X6) +4] / (10+10) in which case I'd be correct.

Order of operations has you do the inside parenthesis first, then the other parenthesis, then any exponents, the multiplication, THEN DIVISION.
Another victory for women mathematicians over ignoramus men.
Yes, I know the order of operations. I am not an ignoramus man. No mathematician would write out the words "divided by" in that problem. Had it been written as a mathematician would have, I wouldn't have been thrown off. I got a 700 math on the SAT's, I know how to solve math problems.
Actually, Jed is right. The way Spaz wrote that, the answer would have been 2.
