Post My Movie Review Thread (some spoilers)

Recently I've rented a ton of movies. I plan on renting a ton more. I'm going to post my little reviews here. (Keep in mind it takes a LOT for me to think a movie is good, I'm usually not phased by most I watch)

Some of these first few I got frol the "cult fims" thread. Others I got from various places.

Brazil - I was waaaaaaay too messed up to attempt to understand this movie. I'll re-rent it.

Dr. Strangelove - Same as Brazil, I'll re-rent it.

Polyester - By John Waters, pretty weird.

Scottland, PA - Good movie. I got a new line from it.. "F*ck, F*ckety F*ck" .. it was amusing at the time.

Vulgar - Not good. Twisted, meaningless plot. Rundown, Clown needs money, clown goes on call, clown gets raped, clown saves girl, clown gets tv show, clown kills rapers.

The Streetfighter - Sonny Chiba. Good Movie.

The Streetfighter Returns - Sonny Chiba, not bad for a sequel but seemed to be lacking.

Eraserhead - This is the second time I've seen it. The first was over a year ago and I didn't remember it exactly. My impression: "O.......kay."

Godfather - Excellent. I know, I should have seen it before now.

Jacob's Ladder - Eh, I remember this movie getting a lot of hype but I don't see why. It was good, not great.

Ninku - An anime. Cute story. Only 30 mins long.

Six String Samauri - Uh. Cheesy, but still cute.

Ghost World - I liked the tone of the movie. I liked the main star. It wasn't a bad movie, I could watch it again.

The Ring Virus - This is the original ring done in Korea, I believe. It was good, not especially scary but still good.

The Ring 2 - This is the sequel to The Ring done in Japan. The Ring - Japan version - was rented so we got the sequel since we saw The Ring Virus. The sequel was Ok. Not terribly scary.

Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood - I liked this movie. Don't know what it was that I liked but I'd recommend it.

I've seen a ton of movies since I last updated this, so I'm just going to list what I remember.

13 Conversations about one thing - Was really unsober while watching this, but it seemed good, I'd recommend it.

    One Hour Photo - sucked.

Unfaithful - was alright, I wasn't that impressed.

    Punch Drunk Love- loved it.

    Secretary - Loved it.

    Dreamcatcher - sucked.

Love and a .45 - thought it was cute.

    Fear dot com - sucked.

The Ring (american version) - Eh, I liked the originals better.

hm.. I know there's been more..

Ok, well, I'm going to be having a lot of free time on my hands so I'm definately going to be checking out movies I've been wanting to see but haven't been able to for one reason or another.

*Chicago.. Loved it! Cell block tango and Mr. Cellophane are my favorites.

*Hunting Humans.. I paid money to rent this C movie!??

*Spun.. was alright, liked the way it was filmed.

*Life of David Gale.. loved it! Such a huge Spacey fan.

*The Pianist.. Thought it was done really well, sad sad story.

*The Hours.. acting was amazing! I liked it.

*How to lose a guy in 10 days... didn't like it.

*Just Married.. thought it had some funny scenes.

    *Mullholland Drive... what the?!?

*Storytelling... no dice. Fast forwarded through a bunch of it.

I know these aren't really reviews.. but mostly like general thumbs up or thumbs down. I've seen more since the last update just can't remember them all.

Yeah, the pianist wasn't full of excitement. I fast forwarded through some of the parts. It's not the best movie, but any true story that takes place during that time I think is amazing. The fact that it was a true story is was made it so good to me. Because then it's not a movie... it's more like a testimony.
