I have to say WoW cause of Graphics, the number of epople who play, creativity, and entertainment values... I've never actually played an RPG besides that that I liked. But I can't afford WoW...
I must say I absolutely loved this series. I don't know why Camelot is not thinking about making or rather haven't made another RPG.Originally Posted by anime_rules815

Phantasy Star IV hands down.
The game had everything. Involving, proggressive story. Well-rounded characters. Enjoyable traditional RPG style gameplay. Characteristic dual futuristic/midieval setting. Advanced, NASA designed hydrofoils. The music was amazing (for the time) It had it all.
I am going with Fallout 3!
It is possible that Star Trek: Online will be better though since it is a MMORPG so I think would qualify.
Warhammer!!!!!!
Xenogears. It's essentially like a Philp K. Dick novel, but in video game form.
All other RPGs are essentially the same. Mediocre and predictable.
Shadowrun for the SNES was pretty cool.
FF VIII
Most people probably won't recognize it as such, but I've got to go with Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past (or possibly OoT)
Think about it. You've got your specific player character, who levels up through getting new equipment and better armor & swords. You can increase your health and magic capacity. It's got all the criteria required for an RPG, so it does count.
And, as have so many games in the series, it had a major impact on the development of gaming across the whole spectrum - to say nothing of being a great play.
In no Particular order FF tactics ADOM, Diablo II Lord of destruction, The original Pool of Radiance not the computer killing remake that never ran right, and yes I an Old as hell and still gaming...
Favorite pen and papper RPG was Glorantha.
It has to be Final Fantasy
The Fallout series. Hands down, Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas are the BEST role-playing games ever made.
Favorite RGP for me was an old Sega game named Shadowrun.
But I loved the cyberpunk genre.
As for Fallout 3, good game but very poorly written without many important decisions to me made, plus to badly changed the attitude of the Brotherhood of Steel. Atleast the Brotherhood Outcasts were quality but you barely could interact with them.
A wise man once said, "The old parties (Democrat and Republican) are husks, with no real soul within either, divided on artificial lines, boss-ridden and privilege-controlled, each a jumble of incongruous elements, and neither daring to speak out wisely and fearlessly on vital issues of the day."
That man was Theodore Roosevelt in 1912. Things haven't changed much.
According to me, the best RPG are Final Fantasy XIII, Infinite Space, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Mass Effect, Fallout: New Vegas, Deux Ex: Human Revolution and The Witcher 2: Assassin's of Kings.
RPG is all about story.
I have to go with Final Fantasy X, Mass Effect 1 and 2 and Dragon Age Origins. Dragon Age 2 was alright but the story really was weak to me.
RPG is referred as a Role-playing video games. RPG is genre with origins in pen-and-paper role-playing games. RPG player controls one character, or several adventuring party members, fulfilling one or many quests. RPG games such as Dungeons & Dragons, Warrior Epic, Heroes in the Sky, Plane Shift, Oberin are the interesting games.
I was never a huge fan of RPG`s, and have only taken an interests and finished the newer one`s (Dragon Age, The Witcher 2, FF XIII, the Mass Effect series, etc), mainly because of the compelling stories.
I`m... more of a RTS / turn based / FPS kinda guy. Because I like it fast. However... I do remember that the old Pokemon Rom games where quite nice! simple, heavily bugged, but addictive!
No to mention that I personally think that "Chrono trigger" and "Chrono Cross" were one of the best RPG`s ever made! (both of which were of course introduced to me by my GF! XD).

Definitely Zelda Link to the Past
My favorite RPG game would have to be the "Fabe" games. Great storylines, and you can do and choose just about anything! (Mostly lol) :3
Did you really eat my cookie? Can I please haz it back? :c
There are none, worth playing, out of bed.
Off blogging.................
THE TINY THREAD KILLER !
The best RPG in my opinion was and still is Sacred.
I can't understand human capacity to avoid direct answer for any question.
