    Cool. I'm partial to Remington.... my dad likes Winchester. The Winchesters are real nice too. I checked out a Remington 710 over the weekend, looks OK for the money.... I was going to buy it for a friend, but I'll probably get him a 700ADL instead.... I did not particularly like the action on the 710.

    My dad has a couple Win model 70's chambered for .280 Remington.... nice rifle(s), not as much recoil as the '06 and excellent ballisticly.

    I was looking at the 710 this weekend.. been reading on the hunting board, http://forum.hunting.net/bbs/FORUM.asp?FORUM_ID=9 , or www.huntingnet.com , and they general ruling there is it's junk!

    It was 350 with a scope

    I got a rain check for one w/ scope for 299.... I'll think I'll decline though. ..... I like the rifle except for the plastic magazine and the not so smooth action. .... not too sure I like the pressed barrell ... but that's not too big a deal to me. I think I'll get him the 700ADL synthetic in .30-06 ..... I'll let him buy a scope.

    I think it's 349 normally .... I thnik I saw the same price at wallmart too (synthetic stock ADL) .... but I'm going to see if they go on sale ..... there's a basspro outdoor world real close by .... I'll just keep checking (my sister work there part time and gets discounts on everything except firearms / optics and reals ..... all the good stuff).

    I'm bored again. So, what does everyone think about collard greens ..... like 'em, hate 'em .... never met them? Personally, I like 'em ... not as much as brussel sprouts though.

    What exactly is a 'collard green' anyway? I always suspected it was a synonym for 'weeds'.
