What's wrong with porn anyways? Everybody watches it, at least every once in a while.

How the fuck can a "believer" determine whether or not he or she will successfully pass the Great White Throne judgement on such a weak basis. And who is the "believer" to JUDGE himself or ANYONE else! BUT HERE YOU ARE, COWPUNK, SUGGESTING THAT DISMEMBERING YOURSELF IS GOOD BECAUSE YOU MIGHT NOT GET TO WORSHIP A NON-EXISTENT DEITY FOR ETERNITY AFTER THE ENTIRE BODY IS NON-FUNCTIONING.

Cowpunk, get the fuck out of my thread or post something intelligent. Notice I do not make that demand to Gango since he seemingly cannot do the later...

I could give you an entire sermon on exactly how a believer knows that beyond a shadow of a doubt. Somehow, I think it would be wasted on you.

Better to judge yourself now and correct the problem than to be judged later by the guy with the authority to make the punishment stick.
    The ambassador died, Obama lied.

I'm giving you a thanks only because it will make Vader believe that all sorts of horrible things are going on behind his back.

In reality, I didn't understand the post you replied to, nor am I curious enough to pursue it.

John 2:16 for example, but you don't believe in the New Testament because you're a Jew so forget it.

John 2:16 says nothing about pornography whatsoever.

Selling doves in the Temple of Jerusalem =\= watching blue movies on the Internet in even the most expansive of reasonable interpretations.

You're being intentionally obtuse. They weren't exactly drawing too much porno on clay tablets or papyrus back then were they?

Pornography has existed in some form or another about as long as society, Cletus.

The passage you've cited from the book of John was about commercialism and usury in Solomon's temple. It has no reference or applicability to erotica or sexuality in any way, shape or form.

Yes, duh, thank you grand pa, but the point is lust is sin. I'm sure as a Jew you won't agree because a lot of you are seriously depraved. I'm depraved too but I'm not a christian.

That is clearly not the point.

Nowhere in either Testament is it suggested that simply enjoying erotica is sinful.

It's not the entire point but a large portion of it. Lust is sin perpetrated by the eye. Lust in the heart is adultery. Matthew 5:28. Of course there are other sins of the eye as well but that is probably the most common. I'm not even a Christian and I know this.

Again, the passage cited is not about lust. It's about greed and idolatry.

Looking on a woman lustfully might be adultery in the mind, but that doesn't mean looking on an image is such

You can't commit adultery with a picture, for one.

This is about sins done with your eyes. Pictures qualify.

Also, nothing in either testament suggests sins are commited with one's eyes.
