If I did I'd send it back with a big fuck you written on it. They can't touch me. But yes, the government makes list.

Why do you care anyways, it's not like you're ever going to get such a letter, unless you would have to get a job some day!

I actually did once. It's not as if they actually read the comments on the check. They have OCR machines to do dat. Made me feel better. I don't cheat on taxes so I don't owe any.

Are you talking about 20-30 years ago? And why the hell would the IRS harass a secretary or a pool lifeguard for "unpaid taxes" anyways, it can't possibly be THAT much. So anyways, did your parents pay that $100 to the IRS to save you from troubles or what?

Ganja dude, the IRS goes after people on government lists all the time. They put a microscope up their asses until they find something wrong. Happens all the time. It's politically motivated.

So, the IRS goes after people who don't like the IRS? Or maybe everybody who doesn't like Obama?

Hiring more people, they must. That alone would allow the US to cut the unemployment numbers in half.

Are you trying to say that they will go after an unemployed person who owes them $100 from 20 years ago, just because he pretends to hate Obama/Israel/American gov't on an internet message board? Is that ACTUALLY possible?

I got audited a few years back. I had to pull together all the information they already had. It turns out they owed me back $700. I don't think they'll audit again soon.

Yeah, I tend to not take the more doubtful deductions. Saves money on the more wizard-like accountants, avoids the higher risk of taking those deductions, and they won't pay all that much in cost savings anyway. If they do audit me, I'll use them like inside accountants, as Lulu apparently did. (9ball), "So, with all these receipts, you're saying I overpaid by $50, two years ago?" (IRS agent) "Um, yes. Frankly, I don't know why you were audited, at your income level and complexity of business." (9ball) "Say, could I come back here next year? Scratching together more information you turned me on to, I'd like you guys to audit my last 4 years!" (IRS agent, looking very tired). "That won't be necessary, Mr. 9ball. I'll give you the other half of my Subway sandwich you've been eyeballing, if you go away now."

Haha, no but I am going to send some to my dumbass lefty friends who think the "rich" should pay more taxes.

That doesn't mean them though...leasing new beemers every other year, euro-vacays, 250g plus jobs...not rich.

Well, that just depends on the amount of damage that person has done. It's not always about da money, but sometimes just intimidation. You should know this junior. The US is the USSR lite and increasingly so. They go after people who threaten them: fact seekers, narks, informants, whistle blowers etc. Happens all the fucking time.

You are so incoherent in your responses that I'm having a difficult time figuring out just what the hell you're about? Can you please clarify so that we may not trash you unnecessarily? I'm not trying to piss you off, rather, I'm just trying to get a feel for you in an extremely non gay way!

I voted for Obama. I owe money. I'm getting letters about it. Snouter is suffering from a partisan persecution complex.
Everybody gets so much information all day long that they lose their common sense.
