Actually I am a Mariner fan and have been forever and I think its both good for the Ichiro and if the players Seattle got in return are any good its a win-win all the way around.

Now if we can unload Figgin, Olivo, Ryan, League and Smoak......

I think Ichiro has been a great player for Seattle for about eleven years and the fans appreciate a good ball player.
Well not A-Rod...he got booed big time the first few times he came to play in Seattle. You should have seen the $$$ 'signs' along with the boos.
Another great player who started with Seattle and came back to finish his career was Ken Griffey and the day he retired he got a rounding standing send off.

When the Mariners play the Bluejays in Seattle there are a lot of rabid fans coming down from Vancouver (BC) to root for them and on the whole they are treated very well by the Seattle fans.
