I had my annual physical exam today and saw a notice on the wall that caught my eye. It was about Patient Portal. It's an Internet site where you can access your medical records, the same ones the doctor accesses with his laptop, reviews your records and enters new data.
I asked about it and was told to see his receptionist. She took my email address and when I got home I had been sent my login and password.
I checked it out and it's pretty neat. I has my records from last year's visit in it which I reviewed. They took a blood panel today and now I can check back in a few days for the results and print them out at home instead of having to go back to the doctor's office to get a copy.
The URL for the site is https://mycw24.eclinicalweb.com/port.../jsp/login.jsp
This is the wiki article about the application: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_portal
Why is it that I live in an area that has the most "doctors" per square inch and when I visit the retard for my annual thyroid exam as a result of swimming in the Columbia River, the retards have to ask me what my prescription is! WTF!
THE MEDICAL SYSTEM IN THE USA SUCKS!
