The for-profit companies don't like it, but they should only be insuring the wealthy and young immortals anyway. The wealthy can drive cutting edge technology at their exclusive clinics. The young immortals can buy catastrophic-only insurance, for when they break bones or treat the extremely rare cases of cancer.

The rest of us can use non-profit insurance sources, which can do a better job of keeping our costs, well, at cost. They can better accomplish this by using a larger pool of customers. The 30 million-odd number you refer to. If conservatives and other non-liberals had done a better job, they would have undermined the leftist program long ago by opening up non-gov't., non profit insurance across state lines, allowing consolidation of the better companies to better compete in the non-profit market, etc. Since dealing with the non-profit business sector seems too alien to the major political parties, it was hardly considered. So the Republicans lose this one, based on their confused insistence that the solution be confined to the for-profit sector. Too bad, really. The private sector non-profit would have been an excellent counter-balance to the gov't programs that will now be offered. Gov't programs that will no doubt be compromised (contaminated might be a better word) by kickbacks to the for-profit sector.

The average employee pays 8000 to 20,000 on each employees healthcare depending on there health and family. The government is now saying if you the company drop all these employess coverage we will only charge you 69 dollars a person. So now the we have employees with no coverage and they will also get fined by the government 69 dollars for 2012. And by 2013 that goes to around 600. Then by 2014 it is around 2500 dollars. Well most people cant afford private insurance let alone 2500 dollar fine. And the employer by 2014 also gets a higher fine but it is a pittence compared to what they had to cover employees for. So what we are going to have is even more people not covered then before.

THEN these stupid, stupid, stupid liberals come up with this! Lets say you are having a life threatening situation. You are in the ambulance heading for the doctor and you call a insurance company and say I need coverage. By law the have to cover you right then and there! Madness reigns in this country and it is from idiots that think government should have a role in health care. Insurance companies loose hundreds of thousands of customers through large companies dropping coverage. Then these insurance companies have to cover you at anytime for anything and the person wanting the coverage can then drop the insurance at anytime after treatment and not pay a dime. So then what do you think is going to happen to all these insurance companies? They are going to GO OUT OF BUSINESS. Then while we have absolute insanity going throughout the country the savior government comes riding in to save the day. And lets not forget the Bush tax cuts are ending. Despite what anyone says your taxes will go up not just the wealthy. So watch the largest tax increase in the history of the world cause misery and death. And this what the liberals call a utopia!
