I was going to post this note in the Catholic Crime Watch thread, but here is good enough.
We just saw the movie "Oranges and Sunshine". It's a true story of English children deported to Australia by religious and charitable organizations under the auspices of the British and Australian governments. It came as no surprise that the Catholic Brothers who cared for them in the UK sent them to institutions in Australia where they literally served as slave laborers and, yep, sex toys for the Brothers there.

I do not think you can change a 2000 year old institution that quickly.
While the Church hiarchy needs to get its shit together on all this kind of crap, I think it would be more reasonable to propose that women be allowed as priests. I think women would be able to endure a live of denial a lot easier.
