TT you and I have always and will always be friends on here but this particular case does have a lot of questionable situations regardless we are european or american ...money and expensive lawyers that can rip victims apart do exist and many times a parent will accept an agreement to save the child the terrible 3rd degree that could harm the child even more. As Mia found herself doing....TMHO. in so far on this debate.

There were no arrests or law suits, due to lack of evidence after an extensive investigation by the NYPD. So, no need for money or expensive lawyers.

But,again,innocent until proven guilty is the way we do it in the US,and we in the US are right to do so.
The Amanda Knox case brought up that in too much of Europe ,gulity until proven innocent is their way,and they were proven wrong.
One shouldn't be treated like a criminal until it's proven that one has committed a crime,that's not the case here.

The bottom line is, his behavior destroyed a family and he will be judged for that.

Considering the courts have looked into this, their rulings are probably more reliable than something reported in Vanity Fair... perhaps not, but probably.
And please don't underestimate the fury of a jilted woman, especially one jilted in such a humiliating way.
Yes, he destroyed a family. Happens everywhere in America on a regular basis. It is sad, and nobody's giving the man medals for it. He's not proud of it himself. But that's as far as it goes really. If there's more to it, like you said, we might not find out until much later.
